Welcome to the third issue of Dingir. This is the first real myth that I plan on doing, and it will not be the last. The first issue covered a snip of one of the Gilgamesh myths, and the second wasn't a myth, but rather an amalgam of little things about the underworld that I have gathered together.

This is actually the most important of all Sumerian myths in my eyes. It doesn’t have a lot of conflict, but it provides the foundation for a lot of the other myths. You get to learn about why Inanna is so ambitious, why the gods work together, and you get to really see into the mindset of the religion.

It has been a while since the comic has come out regularly. I have had school matters to attend to. This probably will not be the last time that I will have to take a several month long break. Unfortunately this means that I will not always be able to concentrate on the comic or even the webpage as a whole. My hands are going to get rusty.

Most of this issue was done before I went on “break”, so you may actually see an increase in the art quality of this issue. Issue four (forthcoming) was started as an experiment. Some comic writers I met at a con introduced me to a concept of the 24 hour comic. I tried it. I failed, but it was fun. As a result the quality went down. It will be a bit till you see issue 4 so I can’t really tell you what it will look like by the time you see it.
